Necrons and GW
So going into a GW store is getting worse? not only I have been asked if I needed paint and Glue FOR my White drawf , I was also talked to like a dumass... I went in looking and Necrons and then he starts going through all the rules of the models.. (new models and old models), I said to him I already know, and he was like, yes but did you know this and that and so on! I swear they think I just buy them and leave them in the box and Havnt got a clue what I am doing.... grrr I am always getting annoyed with the service in GW places, you cant always look around without one of them over your shoulder! Friendly yes, but in store stalker no.....

Which store did you go to?

ReplyDeleteCambridge are normally quite good once they know you're a veteran. Same's true for Norwich.
ReplyDeleteThey're a bit pushy to new faces because they don't know how experienced with the game or a particular army you are. Also they've got sales figures to meet.
Generally once they get to know you in there, they know the in-your-face sales technique won't work, so let you do your own thing. I haven't been pestered in the Norwich store since Finecast was released, but the manager was pushing it on all the regulars (ticking quite a few of them off)
Do you go into the Cambridge one a lot? I'm in Cambridge tomorrow and I want to pick up a few things from GW, so might run an experiment to see if it was an isolated incident
Probably Wookie's replacement then, as the Cambridge guys are really cool otherwise.
